Developer: Shadow Launch Technology Limited

Shadowrocket is a paid rule-based proxy client for Apple platforms, available exclusively on the App Store. This is the official Shadowrocket manual, covering store-region checks, app verification, and restoring purchases. Check the App Store listing for current pricing and system requirements.

Storefront and Account Region

Your App Store region is the country or region associated with the Apple ID used for purchases. It is different from your device’s location, system language, or browser language. Shadowrocket is not available in the mainland China storefront. If it doesn’t appear in search results, first check the region of the account you use for purchases instead of repeatedly changing your search terms. The storefront shown in a web address does not change your account’s eligibility; available purchases depend on the store account you’re signed in with and its storefront.

To check the region, open Settings, tap your Apple ID at the top, choose Media & Purchases, tap View Account, then check Country/Region. Labels may vary slightly between system versions, so follow what your device displays. Check the account used for purchases. If iCloud and Media & Purchases use different accounts, note the latter; you’ll need the original purchasing account to restore the app later.

You can also find the official region-change option under Country/Region. Read the account prompts before deciding whether to continue. Your balance, active subscriptions, Family Sharing settings, and local payment methods may affect the process. Follow the requirements Apple displays at the time. Changing regions can affect existing purchases and account use, so don’t skip these prompts just to access a particular page.

If the product page loads but the store asks for additional payment details, resolve the account prompt first. If the app still doesn’t appear in search, check Screen Time content and privacy restrictions, allowed app age ratings, and any device management restrictions. Search visibility, payment availability, and device compatibility are separate issues; checking them one by one is more useful than repeatedly signing out.

IDENTITY / THREE REFERENCES

Verify Shadowrocket: Developer, Icon, and App ID

Use the app name to find it, then verify its identity using the developer, official icon, and app ID. These details should match. Don’t rely on search ranking or a similar name.

APP / SHADOWROCKET

Shadow Launch Technology Limited
App ID: 932747118

Check the developer or provider information on the product page. The full developer name is Shadow Launch Technology Limited. Don’t rely only on the short description in search results, and don’t mistake another app that mentions Shadowrocket for the same product. Open the product details and check the app icon next to its name and the information further down the page.

The official icon is a rocket with a blue-purple outline on a white background, matching the icon shown here. Visual similarity is only a clue: search results with the same or a similar name may use confusing imagery. Also check for id932747118 in the product page URL; the number is the app ID. Verification is complete only when the developer, icon, and ID all match.

The two images on the right are official App Store screenshots. Home shows Not Connected, Global Routing, Connectivity Test, the SERVER section, and Add Server. Add Server shows fields such as Type, Host, Port, Password, and Method. The screenshots show where to find key controls after installation; they do not mean a new installation comes with a usable server.

The screenshots show the English interface; the display may vary with app state and interface updates. Use the field layout as a visual reference, but verify the app using its App Store listing. If you don’t see your own server entries the first time you open the app, that’s normal. Set it up using a subscription or server details you already have; an empty list doesn’t mean the installation failed.

DEVICE / IPHONE

Install and Open Shadowrocket on iPhone

The App Store handles purchases and installation on iPhone. On the product page, expand the compatibility details and confirm your device meets the requirements; check the listing for system requirements. Verify your account, the app’s identity, and the current price, then follow the system payment prompts. Wait for the app to appear on your Home Screen or in the App Library. A stalled download and a failed first connection happen at different stages and should be handled separately.

When you first open the app, check Home. Not Connected at the top means there’s no active connection; it doesn’t indicate a purchase problem. It’s normal for a new installation to have no server entries. Once you have your own subscription or server details, import them using the appropriate option. To enter details manually, start with Add Server. Make sure Type matches the protocol used by your server, and check Host, Port, and authentication details against your source information.

Global Routing lets you choose how traffic is handled. The interface labels for configuration, proxying, and direct connections are Config, Proxy, and Direct. You don’t need to change these options during purchase or installation. When you’re ready to use the app, select the appropriate Config before choosing a routing mode. Turning on the connection won’t supply missing server details or fix a server-side configuration.

What the VPN Configuration Permission Means

When you first try to connect, iOS may ask to let Shadowrocket add a VPN configuration. This lets Shadowrocket handle connections through the system’s network services; it is not another purchase and does not activate a service automatically. Make sure the prompt comes from the app you’re using, then follow the system instructions to authorize and authenticate.

If you previously denied permission, try connecting again in the app and watch for the system prompt. If needed, check existing VPN configurations and device management restrictions in Settings. Don’t repeatedly delete configurations you don’t recognize, and troubleshoot authorization separately from server timeouts. Whether a managed device allows a configuration depends on its management policy.

After installation, continue with the tutorial for importing subscriptions, connecting, and testing. For explanations and recommended values for Settings options, see the settings guide.

DEVICE / IPAD

Universal Purchase and iPad Compatibility

The purchase works across iPhone and iPad. After buying once, use the same Apple ID to install the app from your purchases on another compatible device. “Same account” means the account that made the purchase, not necessarily the iCloud account shown at the top of Settings. If the iPad still shows a price, check whether the original purchasing account is signed in under Media & Purchases, then check your purchase history before trying to pay again.

The available screen space differs on iPad, so layouts and item placement may vary from iPhone. Interface labels such as Home, Add Server, Config, and Settings are still useful for finding features. Look for items by name rather than expecting every button to be in exactly the same place as in the iPhone screenshots. Check the App Store listing for system requirements.

Universal purchase covers eligibility to get the app; it doesn’t make server lists, the active Config, or connection status identical across devices. After installing on iPad, check whether the expected configuration is there. If not, import your own subscription or server details. If you need to sync data, review the relevant Settings options and confirm what will be synced before proceeding, to avoid overwriting settings you want to keep.

PURCHASE / RESTORE

New Device, Reinstallation, and Restoring Purchases

Restoring a purchase means using the original purchasing account to get the app again. If the app is still available and your device is compatible, you can usually redownload it without paying again. Go to App Store → Account → Purchased. Some system versions label the list Apps or My Apps. Search for Shadowrocket in the relevant list, then verify the developer and icon before installing.

If the app isn’t in your purchased items, first confirm which Apple ID you used to pay. Check your App Store purchase history or original receipt, then verify the account under Media & Purchases. Purchases belong to the account that paid; changing your iCloud sign-in does not transfer purchases from another account. If the product page still shows a price, pause and check your purchase history before proceeding.

Hidden purchases, a changed storefront, or different device compatibility requirements can all affect search results. Check the relevant account settings based on the store’s prompts. For account or billing issues, use the support options in the App Store on your device or in your Apple Account. This manual can’t change purchase records or determine refund or restoration eligibility for the store.

Check App and Configuration Restoration Separately

Reinstalling restores the app itself; it doesn’t guarantee that your server list or Config will be restored. Before switching devices, make sure you can still access your own subscription or server details, and check what your backup or sync options include. After installing on the new device, check the actual data in Home and Config before importing anything again, to avoid duplicate entries.

Subscription URLs, passwords, and configuration files may contain access credentials. Keep them somewhere you trust. If you share an error message while troubleshooting, hide any sensitive details first; don’t post full credentials publicly. Once the import is complete, check the current server and Global Routing, then test the connection rather than relying on results from your old device.

Check the App Store listing and your Family Sharing account’s current terms to see whether family sharing applies. A family member’s eligibility to download the app is separate from configuration data on each device. Even if the app appears in family purchases, each device still needs to meet compatibility requirements and have its own server details and connection settings checked.

PRICE / ONE-TIME PURCHASE

Price, One-Time Purchase, and Service Plans

The app is a one-time purchase, not a monthly client fee. The U.S. store reference price is $2.99; other storefronts display local currencies. The current product page and purchase confirmation screen show the final amount. Taxes, currency display, and payment methods can vary by storefront, so use the price shown for your account rather than treating the reference price here as a fixed quote.

Shadowrocket is a closed-source commercial app. Purchasing it gives you the right to use the client. The app reads server details you already have, processes requests according to your Config rules, and provides connection and diagnostic tools. Remote service availability, valid authentication details, and an active subscription are separate requirements; buying the app does not provide them.

If Home still has no server entries after your purchase, return to your existing details and import them using the tutorial. If entries are present but the connection fails, check the address, port, protocol, and authentication details, then troubleshoot each item with tools such as Connectivity Test. A client purchase receipt confirms the app’s purchase status, not that a particular server can connect.

Updates and Purchase Records

App updates are delivered through the App Store. You can enable automatic updates in your device settings or check for available updates in your store account. Refer to the product page for update history, compatibility changes, and current app details; this manual does not list fixed version numbers. Before updating, make sure you know how to back up and restore any important custom configurations.

Keep your App Store purchase record and note which account made the purchase. You may need them to verify ownership when switching devices, reinstalling, or resolving billing issues. Don’t treat an app receipt as proof of a server service: they have different providers, eligibility conditions, and support processes.

QUESTIONS / PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION

Shadowrocket Purchase and Download FAQs

First identify whether the issue involves the store, account, device, or configuration, then check the relevant settings.

Can’t find Shadowrocket in the App Store? Check these settings first.

First, check the country or region for the Apple ID used for Media & Purchases. The app isn’t available in the mainland China storefront, and changing your device language won’t change the store region. Then check Screen Time content restrictions and use the product page link on this site to see whether the current storefront offers the app.

The product page opens, but the purchase or download won’t complete. What should I do?

Read the specific App Store message first. Then check your payment method, any outstanding balance, available device storage, and network connection. Next, review compatibility and system requirements. If you see a charge, check your purchase history and purchased items before trying to pay again.

Do I have to pay again when I get a new device or reinstall the app?

Use the Apple ID that made the original purchase. If the app is still available and your device is compatible, you can usually download it again from your App Store purchases without paying again. Restoring the app does not restore its configuration; after installation, you’ll still need to import your own subscription or server details.

I bought Shadowrocket on iPhone. Can I install it on iPad too?

The purchase works across iPhone and iPad. Sign in with the Apple ID used for the purchase, then install the app from your purchases on a compatible iPad. Check the App Store listing for system requirements and purchase availability. Configuration on the other device must be checked or restored separately.

Can I use Shadowrocket on Mac, Apple TV, or Apple Vision?

The compatibility section of the same App Store listing includes Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check the listing for system requirements, supported devices, and whether the purchase is universal. The App Store remains the only place to get the app.

The app is in English. How do I follow this manual?

This manual keeps English interface labels such as Home, Add Server, Global Routing, Config, and Settings so you can find them as shown in the app. Home is where you manage connections and servers; Add Server is where you enter details for a server you already have. The interface language does not verify authenticity—check the developer, official icon, and app ID.
